There are a great deal of flavors that run well with strawberries, yet my most loved is rose water. (Second to gin, obviously)

Rose water suggests a flavor like, um, roses. It tastes the manner in which roses smell, yet in a sensitive, not over-the-top way. I guarantee. Furthermore, no doubt, you will need to chase it down at an ethnic market. In any case, I happen to think you'll appreciate the chase and leave with an entire sack brimming with new staple goods, as well. Attempt somethin' new while you're there! On the off chance that you see orange water alongside rose water, feel free to lift that up, as well.

I made this mixed drink with gin, since I'm at present having a shocking affection illicit relationship with neighborhood gin, yet vodka would be marvelous, as well. In case you're not an enthusiast of the home grown kinds of gin, you'll acknowledge vodka in this application. I'm astounded that rose water can confront the herbs and botanical notes of gin, so I'll stay with it.

Strawberry Rose Gin Fizz #valentinedrink #gin

Strawberry cocktail with rose water, gin and a little fizz! So festive for Valentine's Day!

Ingredients

  • 6 beautiful strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 4 shots gin
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup club soda (or, to taste)

Instructions

  1. First, wash and de-stem the strawberries. Next, dice the strawberries into small pieces, like 12 pieces from one berry. Tiny.
  2. Sprinkle the sugar over the top of the strawberries. Let sit for 5 minutes. Then, mash the strawberries with a fork to release their juices.
  3. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, and then add the strawberry mixture, gin, rose water and a pinch of salt (just trust me). Shake, then divide between two glasses.
  4. Top each glass off with club soda and squeeze a lime wedge into each glass.
